Description
This extremely nice Rolls Royce Silver Cloud Drophead Coupe, with Chassis number LSAE499, was built with the USA Specification. Rolls Royce handed this car over to the shipper on 13th July 1962, and it was embarked on the ship “Beaverfir” on 19th July, sailing from London to Montréal. Through Rolls Royce of Canada Ltd. the car was handed over to a sub-dealer, Budd & Dyer Ltd. who was in business in Montréal. On 17th April 1962, the car was delivered new to its first owner, Mr. V.G. Cardy, residing in St. Marguerite Station, Quebec, Canada. The second owner Mr. James J. Reeves, living in Pensacola, Florida, USA purchased the Silver Cloud II, on 6th November 1972. Shortly thereafter on 10th October 1974, the car changed hands and was sold to The Carriage House in New York. The car is exported to Spain in 2006. In 2018 the car is sold to Cady Cars, division of Dedelco NV, in Belgium, through the broker Speed 8 Classics. The car is subsequently exported to Belgium. Only 107 Silver Cloud II Drophead Coupes were produced, of which 74 Left hand Drives and 33 Right Hand Drives. This car is the 4th last one build. Today the car has 96.000 miles. The engine was completely overhauled in 2019 and is in perfect technical and running condition.
