Description
This is a remarkable original and very sound XK140, with a lovely patina. This car was originally sold in the U.S. to Mr. R. Sturgis from NY, later on it was sold to Roger Anderson from Ogden, Utah. It has the Special Equipment configuration, Manual gearbox with a factory overdrive and is fitted with the C-type cylinder head. It is full matching numbers as can be checked with the Heritage Certificate. The soft-top which has the lovely Pearl Grey color and is in absolute original and perfect condition. From the many rally plaques displayed on the dashboard, you can see that this car was used in many rally’s and gymkhana’s. This extremely original XK140 participated recently at the Concours d’elegance in Knokke-Le Zoute, Belgium, where it won the 2nd price in the Preservation Class. The car comes with its original operating, maintenance and service handbook, original sales brochure of the XK 140 Models and also an extremely rare original overdrive brochure.
